DIVIDEND DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE ANG SHARE INSTALMENT      
Notice is hereby given of the dividend amount payable for ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI     
LTD and that as a result of the dividend declaration relating to ANGLOGOLD      
ASHANTI LTD (ANG) the Trustees of the Share Instalment Trust have declared      
a dividend amount of 100 cents per ANGNII share instalment that is payable      
on Friday, 08 June 2012. The dividend is subject to a local tax of 15           
percent. No STC credits were utilized. This results in a net dividend of 85     
per share instalment. The payment will be rounded to two decimal places.        
The last day to trade cum-dividend is Friday, 25 May 2012. The Share            
Instalment will commence trading ex-dividend from Monday, 28 May 2012. The      
record date will be Friday, 01 June 2012.
